Dealer's description

Here is a really fine and original presenting example of a Silver Shadow II. Finished in Masons black with gold/tan fine lines to the waist-rail and hubcap beauty rings. She has the rare option of an Everflex top normally reserved for the Wraith II, long wheel base. The interior has handsome biscuit tan (Deep Fawn) Connolly hides and matching Wilton carpets. The same biscuit tan theme carries through to the boot. This is an unmolested example that has been nicely maintained and presents in excellent condition. It is primarily original with no modifications. This was a west coast car all its life so it is a dry car that has had a garaged environment. As a result, it has been freed from the perils of harsh weather and is very clean underneath. It appears to have been well maintained and serviced and comes with its original manual. The body on this Shadow II is straight and the paint is incredibly shiny and lustrous. The car was repainted some 10 years ago and was a high quality job in the $30,000+ category. The finish is entirely consistent. When you look down the sides of the car, they are straight and true. The paint presents absolutely beautifully with only the most ever so minor little mark here and there but only mentioned out of clear disclosure. It is entirely consistent with a low-mileage 5 year old, high quality paint job and certainly needs nothing other than a wax from time to time. The Everflex top is in pretty much perfect condition with no water ingress issues. The interior is excellent. The leather is in very nice original condition with zero cracks, tears nor fading and very supple and soft true to its Connolly characteristics. The front seats were reupholstered at some point and full-marks go to whomever did them as they are excellent. The rest of the leather is all original. It has not been re-dyed and so still shows the factory original grain-toning in the leather fantastic! There are beautiful crease lines in all the right places presenting with a beautiful old-world charm and overall lovingly preserved. The driver heel pad has been replaced with antique leather to continue the theme. The burr walnut wood throughout the car is stunning. All the dash, door cappings and vanity mirrors were recently redone to factory standard by Park-Ward at a cost of some $3,500. It was only redone because of a number of seatbelt chips in the 2 front door woods which detracted from the overall high standard of the interior. When redoing wood, it is important that it is all done as a set so as to maintain uniformity. The process was done in accordance with the Rolls-Royce multi-layer lacquering technique which involves painstaking wet sanding and buffing by hand between all coats all 20 of them! The final finish on the wood throughout is simply stunning. The head lining is original and in good condition. The original carpets are in good condition. Likewise are the leather finishes throughout but with minor pulling to the dash top-roll. The boot (trunk) carpet with the same biscuit tan finish is good with only a minor tear in the front left corner which we will repair. The tyres are brand new whitewalls and the hubcaps are excellent with no major imperfections in the stainless or painted trim rings. They carry the same gold twin fine-lines as per the waistrails. All remaining bright-work is in good condition as is glass, electrics and instruments. Under the bonnet, the presentation is very clean and original. It has not been precision detailed but simply kept clean and tidy throughout its life. The car has its original jack, correct tools and operating manual. This Silver Shadow II is part of Park-Wards Predelivery Commissioning program. As part of this process, all our cars are put through the workshop to make sure every major and minor service is done and anything needing attention done so. This includes the all-important hydraulic and braking system. The Predelivery Commissi
