Dealer's description

By 1933, Packard had become the preferred choice of America's elite but began to incorporate more stylish and dynamic elements into its designs. The Tenth Series models that year featured classically sweeping fender lines, now with skirted fenders that neatly concealed the mechanical components below. The graceful V-shaped radiator shell hinted at the power of its V-12 engine, which was in its second year of production. The Packard Twelve was built on a new tapered frame and boasted refinements like a single dry-plate clutch and automatic choke. This Packard Twelve was originally delivered by the renowned Earle C. Anthony Packard dealership in Los Angeles on February 14, 1933. Prominent Arizona businessman and car collector Bob Larrabee acquired this Packard in 1971 after it had spent some time in England with Malvern Holdings. Larrabee owned and enjoyed the car for many years and participated in CCCA Arizona Region events. In 1984, Larrabee and his friend Neil DeAtley entered the car in the second Great Race cross-country rally, after which it underwent full restoration. After 2006, the Packard remained in DeAtley's impressive private collection, where it was meticulously maintained until it was acquired by John Shibles in 2018. After comprehensive mechanical reconditioning under his ownership, this Packard Twelve toured with the New York Legends Caravan in 2019, and was driven regularly under his care. A binder of comprehensive historic ownership and maintenance records is included with the vehicle. Freshly serviced in 2025, this Full Classic Packard is now ready for its next discerning conservator.
