Is the 2020 Dodge Journey a good car?

Generally — the 4/5 user rating suggests you can feel reasonably confident if the vehicle fits your needs and budget. That score points to a model that has satisfied many owners, though you should still compare condition, mileage, and pricing across listings. With 28.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Dodge Journey reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that means reliability risk looks manageable, but your best protection is still a careful inspection and a clean maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Dodge Journey?

At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, paint consistency, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past collision work. Focus on overall condition and documentation, because the best value will usually come from a clean, well-maintained example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Dodge Journey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 696 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.50% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,947, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Dodge Journey's resale value?

The current average of $11,947 sits slightly below last year's $13,973.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can limit upside if you buy at the wrong price. If you plan to resell later, your best protection is to buy near the low end of the range and keep the vehicle in strong condition. A clean history and good maintenance records should help you preserve more value when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.50% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 makes sense if you want the strongest combination of current pricing and available inventory in this model-year window. If you are especially price-sensitive, focus on the cleanest, lowest-priced listings first and be ready to move quickly when you find one that checks out.
