CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Lexus LX
Summary
With 111 currently listed for sale and an average price of $55,770, 27.9% of 2019 Lexus LX listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Lexus LX 5 / 5 stars.

Why it stands out
The 2019 Lexus LX stands out because it blends serious off-road hardware with the kind of luxury and quiet road manners that make it feel at home on pavement too. Lexus describes it as having a strong reputation for real off-road capability and reliability, and its standard equipment includes full-time four-wheel drive, a locking center differential, high-articulation suspension systems, Crawl Control, and Multi-Terrain Select. That combination gives it a go-anywhere character that is unusual in a full-size luxury SUV, especially one that is also meant to feel smooth and refined in everyday driving.
It is also appealing for buyers who want a traditional, body-on-frame SUV with a premium feel and strong resale value. The LX is praised for being comfortable and for offering two or three rows, but it is not without compromises: the source calls out poor fuel economy, unintuitive technology, and less space than some competitors. Even so, its mix of capability, comfort, and durability is what makes the 2019 Lexus LX distinctive, especially for shoppers who value toughness as much as luxury.

Is the 2019 Lexus LX a good car?
Yes — the 2019 Lexus LX is a good car if you want a full-size luxury SUV that prioritizes capability, comfort, and durability over efficiency or maximum interior space. It earns a 5/5 user rating, and the overview highlights its serious off-road hardware, quiet road manners, and strong resale value. You also get a traditional body-on-frame design with full-time four-wheel drive, a locking center differential, Crawl Control, and Multi-Terrain Select, which makes it especially appealing if you want one SUV that can handle both daily driving and rough terrain. The market shows 37.0% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2019 Lexus LX reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview also points to a strong reputation for reliability, along with the kind of proven, traditional hardware that tends to appeal to long-term owners. Because it uses a body-on-frame layout and emphasizes durability, it should make sense for you if you want a luxury SUV built around toughness and longevity rather than cutting-edge complexity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that maintenance and repair costs can still be significant if the vehicle has been heavily used or poorly maintained.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lexus LX?
At 64.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm that any prior damage was properly repaired. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to the condition of the suspension, drivetrain, and any off-road-related components. Because this SUV is valued for capability and durability, you want to focus on overall condition and maintenance history rather than just mileage alone.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lexus LX?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 108 listings available.
- Clean inventory: 64.8% of listings are accident-free.
Should I buy a 2019 Lexus LX or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 64.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2019 Lexus LX makes the most sense if you want a luxury SUV with real off-road ability, strong durability, and a premium feel. If your priority is finding the best value, you should still compare nearby years and focus on condition, but the 2019 is a solid primary target for buyers who care most about capability and long-term ownership confidence.
