How much does the 2016 Audi A6 cost?

Prices have softened 5.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 523 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Audi A6 a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Audi A6 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its performance, comfort, and features, especially its handling, acceleration, and luxurious interior. It also fits well if you want a midsize luxury sedan that balances everyday usability with long-trip comfort. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2016 Audi A6 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort, performance, and premium features. That said, the infotainment system is a recurring frustration, so used buyers should pay close attention to how well the electronics and controls work during a test drive. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about outright satisfaction and more about making sure the car’s tech and convenience features are functioning as they should.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi A6?

At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings at similar prices. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair, then make sure the infotainment system and driver-assistance features operate correctly. Because this model is tech-heavy, a careful test drive should focus on both mechanical feel and electronic behavior.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi A6?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 523 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.27% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,741, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi A6's resale value?

The current average of $12,975 sits slightly below last year's $13,697.

That price movement suggests the model has softened, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average because buyers still respond to the A6’s premium feel and feature set.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want a well-liked, well-equipped luxury sedan and you can verify condition carefully. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2016 stands out as a balanced choice when you find a clean example at the right price.
