Used 2015 Mazda CX-9 for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2015 Mazda CX-9 cost?

Prices have softened 8.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 282 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare before you buy.

Is the 2015 Mazda CX-9 a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Mazda CX-9 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners repeatedly praise the spacious cabin, the amount of equipment you get for the price, and the stylish, upscale look. If you want a three-row crossover that feels practical for family use but still has a more premium personality, that combination is a strong fit.

The tradeoff is that some owners mention a stiffer ride and wish for more features, so it makes sense to compare individual listings carefully if comfort and tech matter most to you.

With 31.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have a meaningful chance to find attractive pricing.

Is the 2015 Mazda CX-9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centered on the roomy cabin and the sense that it delivers a lot for the money. That kind of feedback often matters most when you want a used SUV you can count on over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about broad owner sentiment and more about how well each individual example has been maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Mazda CX-9?

At 61.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with past damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on bodywork, alignment, and signs of uneven wear.

Because this model is often chosen for family use, focus on overall condition inside and out rather than just the asking price. A clean, well-kept example is likely to be the better long-term buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Mazda CX-9?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 282 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,152, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Mazda CX-9's resale value?

The current average of $9,334 sits slightly below last year's $10,168.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to stay competitive on condition and mileage. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong shape, you can help protect your resale position later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Mazda CX-9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $12,987, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $9,334 average.
• It brings a more upscale feel with a completely new look.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2015 is the stronger starting point. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling, more refined alternative, the 2016 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2015 offers the more approachable entry point without giving up the CX-9’s core appeal.
